Inside the mirrored “box” is a rectangular bathroom measuring only 2.2 feet by 4.4 feet. It contains a green tiled shower and toilet facing each other, and a skylight providing natural light during the daytime. The sink has been strategically placed outside the bathroom.

The guest bathroom includes a concrete wall and pale yellow tiles from Daltile.

Pellegrino designed the running bond tile layout seen in the guest bathroom's shower, which features two inset shelves delineated by gray stone tiles laid in a stack bond pattern.

Space upstairs was tight but Money managed to fit in an ensuite with a small wall-mounted sink and another sensor-operated sky light.

“While the house predominately enjoys a long vista down the valley, there’s a special viewpoint in the main bathroom, a slice of glazing at head height offering a peaceful perspective of the River Don and Cairngorms hills beyond,” says architect Kate Brown.

Each bedroom features a dedicated washbasin.

The showpiece in the new bathroom is the floating vanity with an integrated sink carved from a block of Nero Marquina marble.

The pair also designed the upstairs bathroom’s eye-catching geometric vanity, which pairs elm with a quartzite countertop.

For the first-floor powder room, Eric cut and arranged 2" x 2" end-grain squares of white oak. Tropics Blue Crackle Tiles from Heath clad the opposite wall, visible in the mirror. Brass plumbing from Graff’s Sento line and Kuzco add finishing touches.

Green hydraulic tiles create a soothing scene in one of the couple's newly-refreshed bathrooms.

Three-quarter partitions divide up the colorful, tiled bathroom into zones. Light pours through the skylight. “It’s a very hardworking little room,” says Dovey. “It’s my favorite place in the house.” Sandblasted glass creates privacy, without sacrificing light.

In the primary bath, custom oak cabinetry sits below wall sconces from Allied Maker. The freestanding tub is from Barclay and the tile is LaNova.

The en suite bathroom in the Mountain View cabin has a full-ceiling skylight and a glass wall.
