The owners built the house as a place to gather with their three adult children on Loon Lake, where they had vacationed at the husband’s family home for years. The modern Adirondack chairs are by Loll Designs.

The master bath commands one of the best views in the house.

For the main bathroom, Adanya and Moshe found (via Craigslist) and refurbished a vintage clawfood tub and sink.

The primary bathroom features a Badeloft tub and Brizo fixtures. “It’s nice to let the desert breezes blow through the house,” says Heather, “especially after a summer monsoon, when the smell of creosote blankets the desert.”

Coulee Concrete made a custom tinted sinktop for a walnut vanity by Maple Key.

Contrasting the downstairs bath, the one in the loft is finished in mostly white.

The primary bathroom features a dual vanity, oversized soaking tub, glass shower with speakers, as well as French doors that open to the pool.

“We value feeling over a perfect or manufactured finish,” says Kathryn, “so we jumped at anything touchy-feely, such as the droplet-like tiles cladding bathroom wing walls and structural columns that we are constantly petting.” Texture is at play everywhere, from a bathroom’s pebble-wash terrazzo floors that wrap up walls to the lush landscaping outside.

She used cedar planks from Lowe's and stained them to match the vanity and other wood elements in the room. “We sealed the cedar planks with tung oil, and after a year it's held up wonderfully against water seepage,” says Bertolini

Inside each cubby, are woven baskets that keep miscellanous items out of view.

She had a vessel sink and a Delta faucet in champagne bronze incorporated into the vintage dresser.
