The master bathroom’s Wetstyle bathtub, paired with a Kohler faucet, sits up against calacatta marble tiles on the wall.

The owners are in their seventies – they actually got married during construction at the site – and they wanted to have a home that would be accessible when necessary. The shower is equipped for a wheelchair, and so is every hallway in the house.

Though most of the home's interior comes without a splashy designer's name attached, the bathroom is kitted out with a toilet, sink, and bath/shower from Jasper Morrison's line for Ideal Standard. The cabinets are from an Ikea kitchen system.

Carrara marble was used in the shower and on the countertops. The fixtures are from Hansgrohe.

Early on in the design process, Church had to forgo her fantasy of concrete floors with radiant heat and a cast-concrete sink. But her gray-tiled bathroom satisfies her concrete-loving aesthetic at a much lower price point.

Milk-glass sconces by Lindsey Adelman are mounted on the master-bathroom mirror over a custom vanity with a Cosentino quartz-composite countertop. The freestanding Po bathtub by Boffi sits on a floor of Calacatta Gold marble.

The bathtub faces a Spanish-cedar-framed window overlooking the back deck. Once the outside plants have grown up enough to provide privacy, the adhesive film on the window will be removed.

Made of stained beech wood with pulls by Mockett, the bathroom vanity was custom-designed by the architects. A Caesarstone counter, Toto sink fixture, Tech Lighting mirror, and Kohler toilet and sink are surrounded by Mosa tiles.

The bathroom features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and louvered windows to help the narrow space feel larger.

Light gray stone and stainless steel fixtures make up the palette of this clean bathroom.

The couple picked inexpensive white porcelain tiles for the tub and shower, but splurged on a Carrara marble countertop for the double vanity. The medicine cabinets are by Fresca.

The master bathroom’s countertops are detailed with the same Carrara marble seen in the kitchen. The faucet and shower trims are by Kallista.

The Salvatori marble tiles in the bathroom were added at the last minute, once everyone was confident that they would not put the project over budget.

Bathroom Lesson In the gleaming, glam bathroom, “it was important to use different whites,” says Hayon. “The dull Macael marble I used is warmer and easier to combine with white ceiling paint than stone from Carrara.” Hayon’s Josephine ceramic lamps, designed for Metalarte, are complemented by a matching warm gray Bisazza Bagno vanity, also by Hayon. bisazzabagno.it metalarte.com

The bathroom was creatively composed using inexpensive Quarella Calacatta floor tiles, a Villery & Boch wall-mounted sink, and a Reece Sabine bath. Brass electroplated fixtures and FLOS Mini Glo Ball wall lights add a touch of sass to an otherwise understated space.

Tiles from Ramacieri-Soligo brighten the bathroom, off the hall. But when it comes to modern bathroom vanities, gray, as seen here, is a popular choice.

The clients nixed a powder coating on the stair treads, fearing it would wear away, but approved it for custom, gray steel vanities in the master bathroom. Bathroom floors look like poured concrete but are actually thin, troweled-on microtopping.
