An IKEA vanity has Semihandmade cabinet doors, with a Kohler Elate deck mounted faucet at the sink. Nemo Strada floor tile complements Popham cement tiles in the shower, now lit by a skylight.

After: Situated under a new skylight, the tub setup is Anderson's favorite part of the space. "You can be in the tub at night, with just the wall lights on, and look up at the night sky,

After: The new bathroom is straight out of Laura's Pinterest dreams, with stacked white ceramic tile (from Zia) and matte black fixtures (from AF Supply). She plans to add more plants to make the space even more serene.

After: Double showerheads were a must-have, as was a large soaking tub. The vermillion wall sconces from RBW playfully contrast the neutral color scheme.

In another bathroom, a polka dot wallpaper print creates a playful atmosphere while the dark-toned vanity adds a more serious contrast.

“The walls were incredibly beaten up in the bathrooms, so we installed the best cover up: wallpaper,” Clasen says. There are three bathrooms in the house.

The bathroom epitomizes Mike and Jewlsy's approach of working within the constraints of the existing apartment, with paint and waste timber used to dramatic effect.

In the updated powder room, Hemlock walls compliment white Oak cabinetry and a faucet from Watermark.

The lower-level bathroom enjoys a door to the outdoors so the family can enter directly after surfing. Green Emser tiles are arranged in a unique alternating pattern, and the shower floor is from Concrete Collaborative.

The Beam House - Primary Ensuite

The ensuite was designed to exude a bold yet luxurious spa-like experience. It features an oversized steam shower with black concrete and large format porcelain tiles, a freestanding solid surface bathtub with lantern pendant lighting, and a floating double vanity. Custom mirrors were cut to accentuate the high ceiling and a vanity station with a natural stone waterfall was incorporated for added storage, along with a custom linen closet.
