Penny tiles in two colors cover the walls in the wet room on the second floor where wall-mounted plumbing fixtures preserve countertop space atop the solid brass sink.

After: Salvaged tile, from Historic Albany Architectural Parts Warehouse, was installed in a modern floor application, while newspaper from within the original walls gets installed as wallpaper. The chandelier is a salvaged item from the family’s contractor, found on another project. “It was going to be thrown away,” Geoffrey says.
