Taking cues from the site's history as an old camp spot for some of the early windsurf crowd, this private residence on the westside of Hood River aims to bring a camp like feel. The house responds to it's natural environment, working with the thenatural contours of the site and taking cues from the scattering of makeshift camping structures that adorn the area.
Taking these ideas, breaking down the individual parts of the house into smaller "camp" buildings, the new structure aims to tread as light as possible on the undulating landscape. The main body of the house is nestled up to the edge of natural depression on the site, that offers wonderful views into the woods and peek views to the river.
Currently under construction, estimate completion first quarter 2017.
