An Inside Look at the Efficient Monogram Modern Prefab
The Monogram Modern Home is continuing its tour across the country. After stops in Portland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Austin, it will travel to Dallas on August 21st-22nd and then Boston on September 11th-12th. Needing to feel comfortable in hot climates and withstand lots of foot traffic on the tour, the material choices in the prefab home, designed by Chris Pardo for Method Homes, were extremely important. Here, we break down the key materials in the structure.
The windows and doors by Western Window Systems are made of insulated glass with thermally broken aluminum frames, which help mitigate temperature changes. The interior paint is Gardenia by Benjamin Moore, and the hardwood floor is a European Ash from Kährs.
In the kitchen, a Heath Ceramics backsplash is paired with Smith & Vallee walnut veneer cabients and a Caesarstone Blizzard countertop. A suite of stainless-steel Monogram appliances rounds out the space. Pictured are the French Door Refrigerator, an Advantium Oven and Electronic Convection Single Wall Oven, and an Induction Cooktop with a Glass Canopy Hood.
The wall and floor tile in the bathroom is from Statements Tile. The fixtures are Kohler.
The structure features blown-in-blanket walls and closed-cell spray foam for insulation. Ventilation is provided by Panasonic's WhisperGreen. Outside, the bamboo composite decking is from Zometek and the railings are AGS Stainless.
