Candour is a prefab building system and a tool to customize building components within that system—including walls, floors, facades, and roofs—with a proprietary CAD plug-in. Users of the software can draft a design, determine if it’s feasible, and price it all in one day. Designs are built at Candour’s manufacturing facility in Sunshine, Melbourne.
"The staircase is a ribbon to fold you downstairs," says Andrew.
Before: Both the carpet and the mirror of this staircase had to go.

In the shower, the Japanese porcelain tiles are all a slightly different finish, creating a shimmering effect. "It feels like movement," says Andrew.
The cabinets are made from a super-matte laminate product called Fenix that’s ultra durable and fingerprint resistant.
Dark walnut floors are paired with vertical bleached walnut paneling.
"We try to find the straightest line between two points," explains architect Andrew Fischer. "We always want to edit down, and be efficient with space."
The backsplash is made of large cement tiles that were sawed into smaller pieces and rearranged to give a mottled look. An appliance garage hides the "non-sexy things you want to put away," laughs Andrew—the blender, the toaster, and so on.
The units is filled with custom millwork with flush mount LED lighting.
