A Luxurious Makeover for a Master Bedroom

A Luxurious Makeover for a Master Bedroom
Bedrooms used to have only one purpose – sleeping. However, today, there is a growing trend of making bedrooms look luxurious and turning them into true sanctuaries you can safely enjoy every day. As the matter of fact, people tend to design their master bedrooms so that they resemble luxurious hotel suites that provide lots of multipurpose spaces and extreme comfort. So, if you wish to have such a master bedroom, check out these renovating tips.

Add new areas
There is a variety of areas you can add to your master bedroom if you want to turn it into a multi-purpose space, but the choices are entirely up to you. For example, you can add a work area if you do plenty of work from home. You can turn that nook into a small home office, if there is a need for it, or you can keep the household paperwork there. However, if you wish to avoid making your bedroom feel less relaxing and soothing, don’t add a desk to it; instead, rely on a small table or a stand that will fit into the bedroom design.

Another possibility is adding a breakfast nook. There is nothing better than enjoying a delicious breakfast in your own bedroom, without making a mess out of your bed. However, when considering adding a breakfast nook, you don’t have to think about adding a table and chairs. That will only overcrowd your bedroom. Instead, opt for a comfortable window seat or stand that you can set up next to your bed, and voila! You can eat breakfast each morning just like if you were on a holiday.

Renovate the flooring
Outdated and cracked floors are not something you wish to have in your luxurious master bedroom. Thus, consider replacing them with something modern and make them more elegant. The popular trend for a master bedroom is wooden flooring, which is the key to a more sophisticated and rich look. Also, you can check out luvmihome.com/bea... for some additional flooring ideas. However, since wooded flooring can be cold, it is a good idea to add some soft and rich rugs. They will provide warmth for your feet, and they will add character to your master bedroom.

Closet makeover
Since you are giving your master bedroom a whole new rich look, you shouldn’t forget about your closet. The current trends are moving towards an open design, which can save you some space. All you have to do is remove the closet doors and set up your closet made entirely of drawers and cabinets. Not only will this make reaching for things easier, but it will serve as a decorative piece for your luxurious bedroom.

Another trend to consider is the built in wardrobe. If you pick the right design, you can completely change the vibe in your bedroom, while making sure that there is more free space for other decorative pieces. So, if you wish to have enough space for your clothes, but still keep the flow of the room untouched, you should consider installing built in wardrobes from Brisbane like these imperiumglass.com.au/war... Also, add doors with mirrors to make your master bedroom feel even more spacious.

Do some repainting
Finally, you should find the right color for your bedroom. Think about the colors that soothe you and make you feel relaxed and worry-free, because that should be the number one purpose of your bedroom. The colors you choose should also reflect your personal style, but you can also rely on the latest trends. Pantone’s color for this year is Ultra Violet which comes in many shades, from bold statement ones to more soothing hues. So, pick your favorite and wrap your bedroom in tranquilizing violet shades that promise nothing but a peaceful atmosphere.

If you are thinking about giving your master bedroom a luxurious makeover, you should certainly consider these tips. Everything guarantees a relaxing atmosphere, while the design will be no different from the ones in luxurious hotels.

If letting your bed linens drape onto the floor or the platform bed frame just isn’t your style, keep your bedroom feeling sharp and tidy by tucking your sheets under the mattress and removing any extra blankets or fluffy comforters. A slim, white bed frame such as this one feels skeletal enough to still convey airiness.

This was my room, Unit 2. It's the only one with the bed pushed up against the window, set on a unique cantilevered bed frame created by Trowbridge, a furniture designer. It took a little while to get used to the lack of curtains; the designers opted to keep the glazed walls open, to maximize guests' experience of Lautner's legendary approach to daylight. The surrounding walls offer plenty of privacy from prying eyes, though, and a provided sleep mask blocks out morning rays.
