The renovated kitchen is open, airy, and connected to the rest of the main level. Plum Projects used Bedrosians Magnifica Luxe polished white porcelain for the island, countertops, and backsplash. The black upper cabinets are made from Richlite: a durable, sustainable material made from recycled paper.
No-fuss, sturdy materials, like Kahrs oak chevron floors that camouflage dirt and easy-care black metal siding, free up time for family. “The more durable the material, the less work to maintain it,” says Susie. Also in the kitchen is a quartz countertop by Daltile and faucet from Kohler. The windows are by Milgard.
Before the renovation, the home featured tiny windows that offered glimpses of the landscape. Moore replaced these with expansive windows and skylights. In the kitchen, Moore opted for the Ultimate Awning Narrow Frame and Ultimate Casement Narrow Frame Picture windows by Marvin to add a modern edge to the traditional architecture.
