Garcia placed Marvin windows all along an extensive corridor. The windows let natural light pour in while allowing the x-shaped wood beams from the exterior overhangs to reflect their shadows along the limestone flooring.

A closer look at the living space near the entrance reveals a modern fireplace that’s built into a blue accent wall.

On both the front and the back of the structure, Garcia built overhangs that protect the facade of the house and ended up keeping the cost of the roof down. Along with providing shade from the sun, they also shelter the house from the rain. The hardy Marvin windows were installed below the overhangs, which add yet another protective component against the elements.

The open concept kitchen shares space with the Family room and views out to the covered porch. The cabinets are from Häcker and feature contrasting colors of white for the perimeter and a beach-wood finish on the island and pantry wall. The counters are ultra-compact material from Dekton with the permitter in a soapstone color with leather finish while the island features a dazzling smooth white color. The kitchen also features energy-efficient Miele appliances and a dedicated beverage fridge. Special touches in this space include a full-size sink in the island to make meal prep and entertaining that much easier and a custom made barn door made from salvaged barn wood. The barn door serves as a generous passage to the dining room that can be easily closed for more formal occasions.

Further adding to the drama of this entrance foyer is the pendant from Hubbardton Forge. It's modern and sculptural appeal is a true showstopper for the entire home.

A soaring twenty-two foot ceiling defines the entrance foyer of this home. Floor to ceiling windows and glass doors allow sunlight to stream into the space. At night illumination comes from frosted glass LED light panels that form the ceiling adding to the drama.
