So familiar with loud tropic prints and
sickly sweet poolside drinks, these
summertime havens are a time warp
that we gladly step into, eager to be
transported to familiar scenes and
tropes. Like small children we find joy
in repetition, satisfaction in knowing
what comes next. Is the nostalgia a
yearning for our past selves or a fear
of the future?
