The special Artisanal LA pop-up showcase was a great snapshot of homegrown talent coming out of Los Angeles. I love these graphic, colorful tabletop coasters, trays, and placements by the husband-and-wife team behind Post Studio.

I'm a fan of stylish outdoor pieces that can also look at home indoors, and Fermob's Croisette collection can pull off the look. It's a contemporary take on cane-woven seats, updated with a rubber-like cord that offers a bit of comfy bounce and can weather the seasons.

Decorative signage and lettering made a big appearance at La Vegas Market, from vintage and salvaged pieces, to newer ones like this mini marquee from My Cinema Lightbox, which lets you customize and change the display with your own fun messages.

Italian kitchen and accessories brand Alessi is always offering a playful and postmodern twist on common staples. Case in point: the Ora-Out clock, which is perfect for tight corners—or any corner at all. The minimal form comes in bright, colorful tones for a graphic pop.

Canvas Home's Salamanca collection of stoneware plates are named after a town close to the Spanish city in which they're handmade. I love the neutral palette, which can easily be mixed and matched, and the element of wabi-sabi brings a human element to the tabletop. Seen with a new gunmetal finish flatware, a cousin to the black-matte trend we're seeing more and more in the kitchen.

Coco-Mat makes all natural, hypoallergenic mattresses and bedding from natural rubbers, coconut husk fibers, 100% cottons and linens, and vegetable dyes, all handmade and sewn in Greece. Their modular Takis and Kivili cushions can be stacked or reconfigured—great for storing away in a pinch or lazing about for a casual hang with guests.

Pleats, please: We're seeing a big comeback in pleated lampshades. Made from polycarbonate and a soft, pleated silicone casing, these Ripples pendants by Vita Copenhagen emit a soft glow and come in three different shapes. Believe it or not, they can also be shipped completely flat-packed, and assembled in a pinch.

There are many a salvaged and upcycled treasure to be found at Bobo: Intriguing Objects. I'm partial to these oversize geometric pendants, containing just one simple bulb. The nod to Buckminster Fuller's geodesic domes are an added bonus.
