As the reigning master of minimalist neon art, Dan Flavin has made his career exploring the intersection of light and color. Get the full Flavin with this one-of-a-kind Perf Bench/art piece by architect-designer Johanna Grawunder ($25,980 at L'ArcoBaleno).

AbEx painter Barnett Newman's signature mark was the "zip," narrow strips of paint that demarcate color fields while adding a visual jolt of electricity. This cotton tablecloth, woven in Mexico, features a similar (though much more subtle) motif. ($109 from Diario.)

We like to think minimalist maestro Donald Judd would appreciate the thin, clean lines of this brass bookend from Swedish design duo Broberg & Ridderstråle. ($60 at Mjölk.)

Frank Stella's Protractor series comprises curvilinear forms derived from drawing tools. The layered, striated interior of this felt Dart Trivet gives a similar effect. ($28 at Koromiko.)

Ellsworth Kelly, one of the American pioneers of abstract art, is known for blown-up, simplified, geometric shapes that blur the line between painting and sculpture. Take the inverse of those solid shapes, turn it into negative space, and you'd get something resembling Chiaozzo's wall sculptures. (Box Frame, $150, and U-Frame, $225, at Chiaozzo.)
