A Winsome Midcentury Show House in Palm Springs Lists for $875K
The three-bedroom, two-bath home at 505 S. Roxbury Drive in Palm Springs has always been a crowd-pleaser. Designed by the pioneering architect William Krisel, the classic midcentury residence was built in 1958 by the Alexander Construction Company—a group responsible for the construction of over 2,000 homes in the Coachella Valley in the 1950s and ’60s. Krisel, acclaimed for his tasteful, affordable home designs, infused this particular property with many of his signature features.
In 2018, the home was thoroughly remodeled with the interior broken down all the way to the studs. Although new features were added to modernize the 1,269-square-foot residence—including polished concrete floors, teak cabinets, and quartz countertops—much of the property's midcentury vibe remains intact.
To celebrate its fresh new look, the revamped home was put on display during 2019’s Palm Springs Modernism Week and has since received other international accolades. Scroll ahead to take a peek around the property, currently listed for $875,000.
