Metal spinning is used to make circular objects such as timpani drums and gas cylinders. The studio wondered if it could use this technique to make a chair with a completely symmetrical rotational form. Experimentation produced an ergonomic form that works as a seat regardless of its orientation, and, in collaboration with Italian furniture manufacturer Magis, they developed a rotation-molded chair in plastic.
