Aguilar’s album Erosión, originally recorded in 1978, has been called a "cult masterpiece" of early ambient environmental music. "My sound has a lot to do with the nature of Lanzarote," Aguilar explains. "I incorporate recordings of the wind, the ocean, the volcano. With this and the contribution of my own sounds, I find a sound space that could be defined as the sound of the island."
