Maya Bird-Murphy converted an old USPS van into a roving classroom to bring her design programming to neighborhoods throughout Chicago. The solar-powered Mobile Makerspace serves as a 108-square-foot studio, tool shed, and gallery that opens onto the street. The truck’s soon-to-be-added artwork, shown in this rendering, is by graphic designer Jacob Goble.
