With a grand limestone facade and showstopping turn-of-the-century details, this historic mansion, found on the northwest side of Prospect Park, could be considered one of New York City's most spectacular homes, even if it hadn't been the former residence of Jennifer Connelly. The two mansions were designed as a complementary pair, but number 17, which is the corner residence, is grander and was designed with a higher level of detail.

The home opens with a grand parlor floor that features soaring, coffered ceilings and intricately carved wood details. The corner living room is filled with light and tree-lined views of Prospect Park. There is a formal dining room on the same floor and a beautifully updated kitchen on the garden level. There are also seven bedrooms over the home's top three floors—including an entire floor designed for the children. Other amenities include a top-floor media room and a secret subterranean wine cellar just under the home's front stoop.
