The brand promotes an approach it refers to as “radical transparency”—which means the company reveals the true cost behind every product, from transportation and labor, to markups.

Rothy’s

Rothy’s shoes and bags are carefully crafted from the brand’s signature thread, which is spun from marine plastic and single-use plastic water bottles. The products are 3-D knit, which results in far less waste compared to typical manufacturing processes. Plus, because the sustainable shoes and handbags are 100 percent machine washable.

Marimekko

Marimekko’s vibrant prints can spice up any wardrobe—and the brand’s sustainable practices spark joy as well. Many of the clothing items are made from recycled cotton and wool. As of 2020, the company’s fabric printing factory, offices, and global stores are all carbon neutral, too.
