Designed in the Norman Revival style by London architect Thomas Hopper, Gosford Castle is about 78 miles north of Dublin, set on the 590-acre grounds of Gosford Forest Park in Northern Ireland. The castle was occupied by the Earls of Gosford until 1921 and—perhaps more famously—made multiple appearances in the third season of Game of Thrones as Riverrun, where both the red wedding and Robb Stark’s execution of Rickard Karstark took place. Now, fans can purchase a portion of the castle with offers starting at £500,000, or approximately $650,600.

In addition to being home to the Earls of Gosford, the mid-1800s castle served as a prisoner of war camp during World War II. Following the war, the castle was sold to the Ministry of Agriculture, which designated the Gosford Forest Park grounds as Northern Ireland’s first conservation forest in 1986. The castle fell back into military use during The Troubles before being run as a hotel from 1983.

According to the listing, in 2006 the castle was bought by Gosford Castle Development Limited, which restored and converted part of the castle into 23 luxury residences. Artisans and craftsmen were called in to help retain the original character and historic integrity, with particular focus placed on restoring the existing vaulted ceilings and maintaining the original color palette. The portion of the castle which is now being listed has been partially developed in places, and could be converted into six apartments each with an average space of 3,500 square feet—and some with rooftop gardens.
