Paris–based designer Ora-ïto is taking hotel design to the next level with the Flying Nest. Designed for AccorHotels, the ultra-mobile retreat is made from old shipping containers. The rooms can be transported to any location and reassembled in just half a day.

The cozy 130-square-foot rooms are clad in eco-friendly wood paneling both inside and out. Each room offers a private bathroom and a large picture window to frame the views. The units are self-sufficient and connected by terraces which create public spaces for socializing.

AccorHotels has been testing the concept at various locations throughout France, and they recently launched it at the Avoriaz ski resort. The rooms will provide wintertime accommodations at the foot of the slopes until March 17, 2019.
