A Jumble of Metal Boxes on Stilts Makes for a Surprising Home at Every Turn

Designed by architect Stefano Pujatti of ElasticoFarm, chef Guido Fejles’s house outside Turin, Italy, rests partly on the renovated roof of his childhood home, where his parents still live. The newly flattened surface has become a shared terrace for the two households. The other side of the corrugated aluminum–wrapped home stands on yellow piles. At the center, a pair of trees rises through an opening.
