“Our seasonal color palette was inspired by some of our favorite places, from painted-desert landscapes to relaxing coastal retreats,” says CEO Allison O’Connor. “We know that, like us, our customers want to create healthy homes, and that influenced not only the design of our collection, but the processes and materials as well.” Bringing to life this health-conscious vision for Spring 2020 are earthy colored furnishings that inspire rest and relaxation while still keeping up with the demands of modern life.

One innovation, the company’s American-made SOL performance fabric with a plant-based, stain-resistant finish, comes in six colors and is available on all upholstery pieces in the collection. Utilizing a fluorine-free finish, the fabric achieves family-friendly stain resistance and a modern, linen-like look without harmful chemicals.

“The SOL fabric was created to align with the shift we see in where families are gathering in their homes,” says O’Connor. “They want more rooms that feel welcoming and comfortable to all family members, including kids and pets, without sacrificing style. The new collection speaks not only to the serene colors found in nature, but also to our customers’ active lifestyles.”

“The new collection brings a tactile quality with rich natural textures like linen, cotton and wool, plus new performance fabrics that feel great to the touch and make life easier,” adds O’Connor. “We’ve also introduced new customization options that help our customers create looks that are uniquely theirs—with designs and fabrics that are uniquely ours.”

Yet, even with innovative new fabrics and materials, the collection doesn’t stretch far from the company’s roots in local craftsmanship and sustainable business practices. All upholstery continues to be made at the company’s factory in Taylorsville, North Carolina, and the frames are sourced from local domestic suppliers and artisans. Thought has been given to making the entire process more environmentally friendly, down to the final packaging.
