The kitchen—which features cabinetry from Ikea—was one of the more expensive elements of the home. "I chose to invest a bit more in the kitchen to support my passion for cooking," says Jussi-Pekka. "Aside from those intentional upgrades, I stayed focused on saving wherever possible, without sacrificing quality, especially with important structural elements. Whenever I found something I liked and needed, I took the time to search for a better deal, often managing to source the same product at a lower price. It was time-consuming, but the savings made it well worth the effort."
