Park Slope Brownstone by Studio Nato

Before & After: Just-Right Furnishings and a Few Shades of Paint Punch Up a Brooklyn Brownstone

"The living rooms in brownstones are always a challenge to furnish in a thoughtful way," says project designer Nathan Cuttle of Studio Nato, calling out their narrow dimensions, low window sills, and abundance of woodwork taking up wall space. He and his teammate, Eleonor Pillet, chose a curving Carl Hansen sofa for the bay window so as not to block light or sight lines. The chairs and coffee table are from Lawson Fenning and the rug is from Jardan. "It's a really sturdy round coffee table," says Meghan. "It’s always being climbed on and it’s not a big deal."
