Before & After: Ann Edgerton Takes the ’80s Out of Her Texas Ranch House

The differently sized spaces on either side of the fireplace required custom treatments. On the left is a reading nook, and on the right is a Muhly Bon console designed just for the space. "We get a shape, and a basic idea, and then we just keep messing around with it," says Ann. "This one took us maybe a year and a half to finally enjoy what we were working with, but we wanted a console that had a lot of texture. Then, as we were designing it, it reminded us of those button candies that we used to eat as kids, so we named it the Bon console, like a bonbon."
