As the listing agent notes, the millstone villa “presented a typical style of resort architecture sought by the Parisian bourgeoisie wishing to enjoy the countryside.” In the 1930s, Winnaretta Singer, Princesse Edmond de Polignac—an American-born heir to the Singer sewing-machine fortune—acquired the home and modernized its interior layout.
