2019 Autumn Reflections Tours: The 1950s

The 1950s were a time of great advancement and expansion throughout our country and Midland was growing with it. The three houses presented on our Autumn Reflections Tours represent the era of prosperity and the boom that is synonymous with the 1950s. 

Each house was designed with personal and professional entertaining in mind.  All three of these designs capture Mr. Dow’s ability to create gracious, warm, interesting environments that are simultaneously expansive and intimate. This year, we offer two types of tours: Ultimate Travel Tour & Ultimate Home and Studio Tour. 

A: Ultimate Travel Tour 
Tour Times: 12pm-4pm 

Upon arriving at each home, docents will welcome you & share information about the structure. This is a great way to see the architecture up close at your own pace. 

Ultimate Home & Studio Tour
Tour Times: 12pm, 2pm

Get ready to be delighted with this in-depth, docent guided, two hour tour of the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio including all the extras: the roof, the tunnel, the terraces, and more.
