Stylishly modernized by Thomboy Properties, the home is another midcentury relic of the prolific partnership between architect William Krisel and the Alexander Construction Company.

Once barely visible behind overgrown bougainvillea and Queen Palms, a renovated 1950s "Alexander home" is back on the market in Palm Springs, California. Jackie Thomas and DeeAnn McCoy, the local design gurus behind Thomboy Properties, completely renovated the property in 2019—removing an '80s-style interior and restoring the home's classic features. Originally designed by iconic midcentury architect William Krisel, the home is one of many in Palm Springs that Krisel completed in partnership with the eponymous Alexander Construction Company.

Located in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, the home was originally designed by architect William Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1959. The home's subsequent owners layered the interior and exterior in '80s finishes before Thomboy Properties stepped in to restore the property in 2019.

Beyond an entry hall, a large living area and kitchen stretch across the rear of the home, offering tempting views of the backyard swimming pool. Original midcentury features, including beamed ceilings, expansive windows, and wood-clad ceilings, run throughout the interior.

The current owners also completed a round of upgrades, including new backsplash tile and countertops in the kitchen, as well as other system and cosmetic updates. The interior is also stocked with classic midcentury-style furniture—most of which is included in the purchase price. Yet arguably the home's biggest draw is the quintessential backyard patio, complete with a sparkling pool and views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

At one end of the living area, windows run along the roofline, framing views of the surrounding mountaintop. The purchase price includes most of the home's furnishings except for the current owner's collection of artwork and other personal belongings.

Larger than most Alexander homes at 2,250 square feet, the residence comes with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The home is also located in arguably one of Palm Spring's most popular neighborhoods, offering quiet residential streets, along with panoramic south- and west-facing views toward the mountains.
