In the wellness space, few brands have risen to such superstardom in the last few years as Golde. Cofounders Trinity Mouzon and Issey Kobori started in 2017 by offering a turmeric latte powder blend, and since, they’ve grown their company into a thriving enterprise, amassing thousands of fans along the way.
As a person on the internet, not a day on Instagram goes by without seeing a parade of health-obsessed beauty bloggers effusing about the brand: They don Golde’s face masks made from superfoods like papaya or spirulina; whisk up the company’s matcha powders sourced from Japan; and bake breads and Rice Krispie treats with their versatile latte, collagen, and herbal mushrooms blends. This year, the Black- and AAPI-owned business saw their products take leap off the web and onto the shelves of a Target near you.
Mouzon and Kobori are also just certifiably cool people, so we reached out to the tastemakers to get their take on the things they can't live without.
"Hands down, the best and most indestructible cookware around—ours is about 10 years old and still looks brand new. We use it for everything from stewing chicken to brothy beans."
"Never too hot, always ultra cozy. We love everything Coyuchi for their sustainable sourcing and fabrication, and this duvet doesn’t miss."
"Séka Hills is owned and operated by an indigenous tribe on the West Coast that uses sustainable agriculture methods. Their olive oil is seriously the best, and at $15 a liter when you buy in bulk, it’s an investment very worth making."
"Minna has been a stockist of ours forever, but they also carry an array of gorgeous housewares. We love these napkins (woven in Guatemala) to dress up our everyday meals."
"Yesfolk is best known for their kombucha (which is always on hand), but we’re also big fans of this body butter. It’s a simple, unscented blend that’s perfect on hair, body, and face."
"We love, love, love our Big Berkey. The system has a cult following for good reason—friends always mock us for this until they taste how deliciously fresh the water is! It’s also more sustainable and way cheaper than a Brita in the long run."
"This toothpaste uses traditional Ayurvedic herbs in its formula to deliver a brushing experience that’s herbal and effective, not saccharine and excessively minty. Of all the natural toothpastes, we always come back to this one."
"This shower filter removes minerals and excess chlorine from your tap for shinier hair and balanced skin."
"We use our Superwhisk every day to make super-frothy lattes at home. It’s conveniently travel friendly too, so we don’t have to give up our afternoon matcha routine while on the go."
"We finally invested in a proper dining table (after five years with the one we picked up off of Craigslist), and it’s been such a game changer. This one is the perfect size to fit a few friends without feeling excessive for just the two of us."
"Coasters are so much easier to remember to use when you love the look."
