With roots in leather and watchmaking, Shinola’s second collaboration with Crate & Barrel sees them apply their heritage brand to outdoor essentials for the coming season.
For their summer collection, Shinola has infused contemporary products with a midcentury sensibility, including everything you’ll need for a great time outside, from a lantern-lit lounge to a classic backyard cookout.

Shinola's Mackinac lanterns shine a light on fine woodworking. Lengths of responsibly sourced oak are skillfully assembled by hand into a ladder-like design that accents the wood's edge grain with end-grain corners. Reminiscent of Japanese shoji lanterns or Prairie School architecture, the glass-paned lanterns illuminate outdoor spaces with clean lines and the natural beauty of wood.
