A-Rod Lists His Historic Midcentury L.A. Home For $5.25M
This midcentury gem was also once home to Meryl Streep.
Now that he's engaged to be J.Lo's fourth husband, Alex Rodriguez has put his bachelor pad on the market—and it's priced to move. The former professional baseball player originally purchased the home from Meryl Streep in 2014, and he originally listed it at $6,500,000—although the price recently dropped to $5,250,000. Set just above L.A.'s Sunset Strip, the updated 3,700-square-foot midcentury residence has a prestigious Rising Glen Road address.

Designed by Honnold & Rex in 1954, the home—which is also known as the Honnold & Rex Architectural Research House—comes with a bonafide midcentury pedigree. After the success of the Case Study Houses, Architectural Products magazine began its own series of "research" houses in 1954. Like the Case Study Houses, the Research Houses experimented with new materials, products, and design methods.
The light-filled, open-plan living and entertaining spaces feature double-height ceilings and a variety of bespoke built-ins.
