Zen Sekizawa is a photographer and director living and working in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in Hollywood, she spent her childhood at The Atomic Cafe, the punk rock fixture owned and operated by her family and frequented by such artists as The Germs, X, Blondie, and The Screamers. It was there that she was exposed to a daily tableau of the unusual, unexpected and nonsensical — all elements that have since come to influence her work.

Many years later in 1999, Zen earned her BFA in Photography from Art Center College of Design and since then her photographs have appeared in magazines such as

Vogue Hommes Japan, Elle, ANP Quarterly, The London Sunday Telegraph, The Paris Review, and GQ.
