Nikko was founded in 1908 in Kanazawa, the biggest city in the Hokuriku region of Japan. Already famous for their ironstone ceramics, Nikko’s commitment to innovation has continued to advance since the 1970s. Western materials such as fine and bone china were introduced and developed using Nikko’s own advanced technologies. Today all aspects of production from glaze formulation to mold-making are manufactured in-house by Nikko’s skilled team of craftspeople.
