Laura Terry studied architecture at Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction, where she received a Bachelor in Environmental Design in 1993. After working in graphic design and architecture, she pursued graduate studies and received her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1998. Her paintings, abstract landscapes, depict the rural South and use a strong color palette of geometric shapes combined with organic forms to elicit an emotional response from her viewers. Her paintings are included in public collections in Tokyo, Japan, Denver, CO, and Savannah, GA. Her work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Savannah, and Rogers, AR.
