Geoffrey Lilge currently operates his studio in Edmonton, Canada. From 1994 to 2003 he was a founding partner of Pure Design, an Edmonton based manufacturer of furniture and home accessories. As Design Director, he collaborated with many innovative designers to develop products for the company. Pure Design products were featured in the showrooms of Issey Miyake and Paul Smith, the set of The Tonight Show as well as international retailers including the MoMA Design Store, Design Within Reach, Colette (Paris), IDEE (Tokyo) and the Conran Shop (UK). The collection was exhibited internationally and was awarded the 2001 ICFF Editor’s Award for Furniture. Pure Design was listed in the MoMA Design Encyclopedia in 2003.His design work has received awards from Virtu, Canadian Interiors, Accent on Design (NYC) and has been published in Dwell, The New York Times, Wallpaper*, Azure, Monocle, Abitare, Intramuros and has been featured in the books Design in Canada (Knopf, 2001), Desire (Gestalten, 2008) and 1000 Product Designs, (Rockport, 2010).
