Established in 2003, Gardner Architects LLC is a residential architecture practice, focusing on sustainable, artfully crafted buildings and places. Ranging from net-zero communities to vacation houses to private homes, and from additions to renovations to new construction in Washington DC, Baltimore, Annapolis, as well as regions near and far, our work is site-specific, detail-oriented, and client-centric.
Our work is devoted to a concern for space, light, order, and craft, and is guided by our commitment to environmental stewardship through responsible, inventive design and professional leadership. We foster a team approach in which all team members — from energy modelers to engineers, contractors to owners — are involved from the very beginning of a project in order to make critical decisions about the materials, systems, and building technologies that form the basis for the design. We believe that this approach creates architecture which is integrated, holistic and innovative, considerate of its environmental impact.
