Ernie Roth graduated from the California College of Arts majoring in Interior Architecture. Ernie’s exceptional career as a production designer in the film industry has earned him many prominent awards, including both the Gold and Silver Lion at the Cannes Film Festival, numerous Clio awards for outstanding commercials, a prestigious First Place Mobius Advertising Award, as well as the London International Advertising Award. Ernie’s love of architecture and design led him to establish Roth Design Group, Ltd. in 2007 where he continues his singular career. Appearing on the popular Designer’s Challenge television program, Ernie’s presentation which included a 3D walk-thru of the client’s interior (a first for the program), was chosen as the winning design.
Los Angeles Magazine chose his Bottle Rock Wine Bar project as the “Best New Wine Bar in LA.” in 2007. His design for Fraiche Restaurant was selected as “Best New Restaurant” in Los Angeles Magazine (2008) and the New York Times included Fraiche Restaurant in “The Top Ten Best New Restaurants in America." Roth Design Group has renovated both residential and commercial properties including interiors in the iconic El Royale in Hollywood, and one of his many eclectic interiors was a cover feature in Spectacular Homes of California. Ernie is an allied member of ASID.
