Circuit Lounge Chair
by Mike Devereaux

Sun Lounge Chair Large Lounge Chair

Taking cues from the curves on a racing circuit, this lounge chair marries the thin graphic lines of wire with the comfort of upholstery. An easily removable cushion takes the lounger from the living room out to the poolside patio. Bent and powder-coated steel rods provide the structure and form of the chair. The chain of upholstered foam pads uses magnets to cling to the metal structure and can be easily peeled away. The molded foam pads are covered in a soft wool, or leather upholstery, and fold back on themselves for storage or shipping. Rubber coated foot pads keep the wire base from marring the floor and hold the chair firmly in place. By using these simple and modest materials and manufacturing techniques the Circuit Chair can offer a better value than most in its category.
