I think this design is not completely universal as electric wheelchair users (mostly Quadriplegics) probably can not put a quarter in. Whereas public restrooms that currently are in use in other places have a button on the bottom (which can be pushed by the wheelchair) for them to open and also a button inside to lock the door. They don’t need to use their hands to press anything but this one looks like you can’t use it if you cant use your hands and arms. I have not seen this in person but I'm judging based on what I see in the video so I might be wrong.
I think it is better they put a sign for international people who don’t know English at all. For example sign for open and close the door or emergency telephone.
