Dwell Color Palette: Palette Three

You chose a warm grey, one with yellow in it, which surprises me. The blue palette is more comfortable with a cool gray. But what you said was great.

Considering Ralph Lauren is publishing heavily photoshopped images of women who are anatomically too skinny to survive, and considering that Ralph Lauren is making public statements about how much he hates "fatties" (e.g. anyone who is 5'10" and weighs 120 lbs.) I really don't think I'd support anything this mega-fashion-icon stands behind. Sorry. Don't care about the colors otherwise.

I have been a decorative painter for 20 years. Sorry but I prefer to use Benjamin Moore. Pratt and Lambert had a color known as First Light which was very calming for a bedroom, am not sure if it is still being made. I think of color as something clean and refreshing, something which communicates a feeling to others or to oneself and I often go into the mountains, woods, or to the ocean for inspiration, got to feel it all around me. Then I create my palette with my paints...often self mixed.

I agree with hm's comment regarding Lauren's use of extremely photoshopped models; anyone who calls a 5' 10" model, who weighs only 120 pounds, "fat", is just sick, and I would not support his paint, his clothes or his home accessories line. When it comes time to paint, I will use Benjamin Moore, Pratt and Lambert, heck, even Behr, before using Ralph Lauren!

How do I get my hands on the paint color finder that she showed? That was great!
