Crate and Barrel founders Carole and Gordon Segal discovered Marimekko on a 1960's trip to Copenhagen. "From Crate and Barrel's earliest days in the 60s, Marimekko has been a vital and vibrant presence in our stores and in our lives," says CEO Barbara Turf. -
Marimekko's items range from furnishing fabrics to tableware as well as clothing, bags, jewelry and other accessories. Their textiles reflect playful florals, geometric patterns, and bold colors. -
Kiss-lock wallets in some the Finnish design house's signature prints. -
"We're really celebrating the 'small moments' by creating beautiful objects that have a place in your every day life," says Crate and Barrel's Victoria Lang. -
These cups printed with retro-inspired graphics reflect Marimekko's strong graphic identity. -
Decorative teapots ($79), cups ($19), and serving bowls ($49) come in a variety of patterns. -
Plates and napkins with printed with periwinkle-blue poppies. -

At the upholstery shop, customers can select fabrics for custom projects. -
The fabrics are available in an array of colors and patterns. -
Cocktail napkins get the same attention to design as the other objects in the shop. -
For design buffs, there are a couple monographs detailing Marimekko's history and philosophy.
