I restored a 1930s bungalow on the Aspetuck River in Connecticut in Stonybrook, a community formed by socialists from NYC. I furnished the home with midcentury modern furniture mostly found on eBay. George Nelson dominates (bubble lamp, credenza, chairs, clock, fabric). For relatively inexpensive dining chairs, I purchased a dozen Thonet chairs on eBay (from many sellers), refinished them myself, and then covered them in leather also found on eBay, in primary colors. I was fortunate to score a Joe Adkinson design for Thonet on eBay, which serves at the head of the table.
