My dad always told me to “measure twice, cut once.” I think that is excellent advice for prefabrication projects, as well as for sustainable projects in general. It doesn’t mean you have to slow down, but it does mean that you are not as likely to make mistakes, which can compromise craft and accumulate unnecessary waste.
