Much of what one needs to keep around the home should be concealed to avoid clutter, create a sense of calm, and allow for special objects to be displayed and celebrated. Varying the amount of solid and void spaces within a storage unit allows you to use the space efficiently while animating the space with display items.

Concealing clutter is a good tip. Though, eventually if there is too much clutter build up in cupboards and storage units, eventually you will have to do a tidy up. Displaying items behind glassed cabinets is a great way of keeping the dust out.
