This house is amazing. I love the combination of old and new.
This lovely, amazing, WOW home is for sale now (though probably not for long). I love it. I had the opportunity to view it a little while ago. I love every inch of it. Every detail is considered. The craftsmanship is stunning. I think my favorite thing is the glass mailbox. But the blue and yellow sinks are top of the list as well. Incredible! Inspiring.
I love this bookcase.
I like a lot about this house, though the dining room is of particular interest. The door, the walls, the ceiling, the table, the floor... everything.
If he didn't get a slew of job offers after this appeared, there is simply NO justice in the universe!
Nice work overall. Two concerns. 1. The exposed metal fasteners on the steel roof are a cause for concern. They may be cheap, but they won't last. The neoprene gaskets will fail, and the roof will leak. (These panels were designed for pole barns and other agriculture structures.) 3. Did he test all his salvage materials for lead?
This is awesome. My biggest complaint about modern homes is that they often look sterile and cold. This one manages to have a warm, homey feel even while capturing the spare, artistic aesthetic. Lovely.
Coming out of university and into the unknown, this story inspires and reassures me that anything can happen when you're willing to put time and love into it. On another note, Blake, I'm sure you've sold the house by now but if you'd like to build something sometime, maybe starting with a conversation, I'd love to. You're an inspiration.
Absolutely brilliant! Wish I'd had that kind of smarts, vision and passion when I graduated!
i love it, especially the wood floors.
