One of the best looking prefabs ever!
So good to see this in the U.S. So great to see in at home in Michigan.
the pictures mask the reality of a rush to production,half-fast designed, non-operable space filler. smoke and mirrors!
Fugliest house evar.
Typical Bill Massie junk. What a collection of miserable spaces and WTF gimmicks. He left a few of these egocentric dinosaurs in Montana to rot in the pristine landscape. I suspect this school-funded and student-built attempt at fame will leave Cranbrook, too, with their very own permanent trailer home in the middle of campus.
$750,000????????????????????????????? This guy is joking right?
@Anonymous, Jo, anonymous, Jeremy...what are you guys? Former students using this type of anonymous forum to hate on your former professor? To suggest that this project is smoke and mirrors, school funded, and fugly(!) sounds like tons of sour grapes from which you are incapable of escaping. This kind of cynical commentary reflects the reason why great design gets beaten down by mainstream thinking over and over. It's easy to hate, apparently, but not so easy to learn.
Luthor, It's too late to suck up...Bill Massie has already turned in your grade for this semester. I'm with you, though...it's easier to hate on design than love it. But really, can you look at that thing and call it "great design?" It looks like every school project I've ever seen, the difference being he has a trust fund to build it and photograph it with theatrical lighting. Still, it's a good try and I applaud his conviction.
I'm reminded of one of George Lucas's early films, "THX1138", and not in a good way. "THX1138" screamed "FILM SCHOOL!" at the top of its little lungs and this screams "ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL!!!", with several more exclamation marks on the way. Living in something like this project would be like forever being trapped in Progressive Auto Insurance's annoying and ultracreepy commercials, where customers seem to be condemned to wander from aisle to aisle in that all white hell, seeking the best buy in car insurance for all eternity with only insurance girl "Flo" for companionship.
Best looking double wide trailer I have ever seen. deffinetly worth the 75,000...wait did you say 750,000 ummmm no.
