Very nice article. I was wondering the approximate cost to build such a structure?
Beautiful - serene - elegant. Complimenti.
The skylight idea is timely as I battle with letting enough light into a second story. I love the simplicity of the design and the bamboo is a great idea I had thought of a long time ago, but not revisited. I will entertain using this sustainable product in my own new home. Thanks!
Gorgeous. What a welcoming space. The materials used and the addition of the loft create a great way to let in the light.
That's a beautiful house. I especially like the skylight over the loft. It must let in the morning sun!
Can anyone tell me who designed the windows for this rennovation? We're rennovating a summer home and love the windows that are used in this house.
What is the estimated building cost without the land/ plot??
I would also like to know the cost to build such a building.
wow...what a little sensibility can bring to a "living" space
Aesthetically it's nice, but it doesn't seem very functional. There are no discernable overhangs protecting the glazing or the siding. And it seems like WAAY too much glazing for a place that gets pretty cold in the winter and pretty hot in the summer. "Green" architecture can't just look nice; it should have good thermal performance, too, and save increasingly precious energy resources.
Some nice spaces but really, it looks like a hotel in many respects. The owners look happy however, which I guess is good and is different from most DWELL owners who always look bored and unhappy with their great good fortune.
Its strength is the simplicity. The monolithic palette of wood could feel boring but the lines and punches of tile or expanses of glass holds your interest. The connection to the landscape and sky is critical in not only making the spaces feel larger but can also change the feel of the interior as the time and weather change. Nice project!
i like the modern style of the house, but there are some problems when there isn't enough overlay of the roof. As you can see at pic 4, at the lower part of the wooden wall moss is growing already.
Does anyone know where I can find a patio light like the one pictured slide 4? I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find anything similar.
