How much did this home cost?
Yes, how much would this house cost? Seems expensive.
I ask this question as a student: who serves as the structural consultant for the modules? is it the prefab factory? (i guess it probably is). i'm just curious about the work flow of a modular home( a fine one i must say). does the architect hire a site engineer or is the project handed over to a construction firm directly from the architect without any further structural consulting. do you have in-house structural engineers who work with your modules to make them sound structurally or you pick new structural engineering firms for each house you design? I'd really love to have a paid/unpaid internship with you as a structural intern or revit/BIM drafter(I'm returning for a master's in structural engineering at cornell in the fall and want a good experience with a prefab firm)
What type of curtain track are they using in the master bedroom to travel around the corner?
How many square feet is in this house....? Peter and Debbie
yeah...... another example of really cool architecture not attainable by the people. its awesome yes, but the potential of pre fab is in affordability, i want to see someone actually offer it.
Really cool prefabricated home. I happened to be at Lowe's shopping and noticed this magazine with some cool houses on it. I was interested because we are thinking about building a home ourselves. I picked up the magazine and started reading about these cool homes and it was Dwell magazine so I thought I would check it out. Really cool website. I love the idea of prefab homes like this one. I believe they are built far superior to stick built homes for a lot less money. I have actually toward a prefab manufacturer and and quality control is what I believe makes the difference. It's amazing how these homes can be put together in such short time and the creativity is absolutely amazing. All the windows is what really makes this home. Definitely a winner!
Just saw this house listed by Sotheby's. Asking price is $4.5 million. Here's the link to the listing: http://www.sothebyshomes.com/hamptons/sales/0035651#
4.5 million in the Hamptons with a TOWNHOUSE in Greenwich Village (8-10 million easy) these are not homes for normal people.
